Rams Trying To Lure Brett Favre Out Of Retirement

Brett Favre NFL record for touchdown passes 508, NFL record for yards 71,838Sunday, the Rams lost starting quarterback Sam Bradford for the season with a torn ACL. St. Louis, in desperate need of a signal caller and boost in local popularity, contacted the very polarizing and retired Brett Favre. The future Hall of Famer, who is famous for waffling about whether to play for additional seasons, at the end of his career, confirms that the Rams did indeed reach out to him about making a return to the NFL.

In response, the now 44-year-old Mississippi resident declined the offer.

Favre played 20 seasons in the NFL, mainly for the Packers. He last suited up for the Vikings in 2010. Favre broke virtually every NFL quarterback record, including throwing 508 touchdowns, while completing 6,300 passes, totaling 71,838 yards.

Even though Favre turned down the Rams, he will most certainly dominate many of the headlines, in Thursday's news cycle.
