Record-Breaking Kicker Hanging With Fans (Video)

Blair Walsh is the rookie place kicker for the Minnesota Vikings, out of Georgia. Walsh, a Boca Raton, Florida native, is a sixth round pick that has more than exceeded expectations.

Going into the final week of the 2012 season, Walsh has made 32 of his 35 field goal attempts. In last week's victory over the Houston Texans, the rookie set an NFL record after connecting on his ninth field goal of 50 yards or longer this season. Even more impressively, Walsh is a perfect nine for nine on every one of those 50-yard or greater FG attempts, which is also an NFL record. This long list of accomplishments earned him a spot on the NFC Pro Bowl roster.

Walsh's play has helped the Vikings achieve a surprising 9-6 record, and with a win at home on Sunday over their archrival Green Bay Packers, Minnesota will advance to the postseason for the first time since 2009.

Wednesday evening, per the above iFolloSports.com original video, Walsh was seen signing autographs and interacting with a big group of fans, after his appearance on Vikings Country, a weekly radio show featuring a rotating group of Minnesota Vikings players. The program broadcasts from Dick's Last Resort at the Mall of America, located in the Twin Cities suburb of Bloomington.

As a result of the importance of this weekend's game, the many Viking fans in attendance were incredibly fired up, in anticipation of Sunday's big national TV showdown with the hated Packers.
