Russell Wilson Chronicles His Stay At Yankees Spring Training (Video)
Last week, Seattle Seahawks star QB Russell Wilson participated in New York Yankees spring training at Tampa, Florida.
Below is a look at Wilson’s brief stop through the Grapefruit League, courtesy of a package created by West2East, a brand management company ran by the 29-year-old QB.
Wilson’s Yankees stay included both hitting drills and fielding work at 2B, speaking to other camp attendees, interacting with the likes of Aaron Judge and CC Sabathia and coming to the plate one time, where he would strikeout on five pitches.
The Super Bowl winning QB starred as a baseball player both during his high school days in Richmond, Virginia and while attending North Carolina State.
Wilson would go on to finish his college football career at Wisconsin.
Originally drafted by the Orioles out of high school, Wilson was later drafted by the Rockies in 2010, where he spent some time bouncing around Colorado’s minor league affiliates.
After a trade to the Rangers, the four-time NFL Pro Bowler attended portions of 2014 and 2015 spring training in Arizona.
Wilson became a member of the Yankees organization, courtesy of a February trade between New York and Texas, fulfilling a lifelong dream of his.
Thank You @Yankees for an unbelievable week!
