Super Bowl LIV Team, Media, NFL and Fan Bases Of Operation
For a record 11th time, the NFL’s biggest game makes its long-awaited return to South Florida with Super Bowl LIV kicking off this Sunday night at 6:30 ET on FOX. Approximately 150,000 people will make their way to Miami-Dade and Broward Counties, with the bulk of Super Bowl related proceedings occurring in downtown Miami and nearby Miami Beach, with gameday and team logistical operations taking place to the north and south of the above areas.
Below is a detailed breakdown of the logistical operation, leading up to Sunday’s battle for the Lombardi Trophy.
Stadium
Hard Rock Stadium is hosting its sixth big game, but first since back in 2010. In the wake of a recent $350 million renovation, the 33-year-old, 65,000-seat facility has once again been deemed Super Bowl worthy.
Set in the city of Miami Gardens (near the Miami-Dade and Broward County dividing line), the former Joe Robbie Stadium is found 15 miles northwest of downtown Miami and 16 miles southwest of downtown Fort Lauderdale.
San Francisco 49ers Hotel & Practice Site
The NFC champs are based at the JW Marriott Marquis, located in downtown Miami.
Kyle Shanahan’s team will conduct practice at the University of Miami football complex, seven miles southwest of the Marriott.
Kansas City Chiefs Hotel & Practice Site
The AFC champs are getting their rest at the JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa, situated in the north Miami-Dade County city of Aventura.
Andy Reid’s squad will prepare at the Miami Dolphins training facility, 14 miles northwest of Turnberry, in the Broward County city of Davie.
Super Bowl Opening Night
The Super Bowl’s annual media day extravaganza will take place Monday night at Marlins Park. The Florida Marlins home ballpark is found two miles west of downtown Miami.
Media Headquarters
The media work areas and legendary radio row is housed at the Miami Beach Convention Center, four miles east of downtown Miami and less than a mile from the heart of South Beach.
Network Broadcast Locations
ESPN, FOX Sports and the NFL Network will broadcast from a series of sets constructed at Lummus Park Beach, located in South Beach, along the shores of the Atlantic Ocean.
ESPN will also have a presence at the Clevelander South Beach Hotel & Bar, across Ocean Drive from Lummus Park Beach.
NFL Headquarter Hotel
The league will conduct business at the InterContinental Miami, located in downtown Miami.
NFL Experience presented by Lowe's
The indoor fan festival takes place at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
Super Bowl LIVE presented by Verizon
The outdoor fan village occurs at Bayfront Park, adjacent to Biscayne Bay, in downtown Miami.
