Atlanta was a 3.5-point favorite on the road versus Carolina, but were pounded 30-20, in a game which was never close. The Panthers burst out to a 23-0 lead, while never once feeling threatened. Cam Newton threw for 287 yards and ran for 116 more, as Atlanta fell to 11- 2 for the season, with the Panthers improving to 4-9.

Miami was a 10.5-point underdog at San Francisco. Colin Kaepernick ran for a 50-yard TD, with 2:10 remaining, icing a 27-13 victory for the 49ers. Kaepernick completed 18 of 23 passes for 185 yards in the win.

Jacksonville was a 2.5-point underdog at home against the Jets, with New York holding on for a 17-10 win. Chad Henne threw an interception at the Jets' 14, with 22 seconds remaining, blunting a Jags' drive for a game-tying touchdown.

Somehow, New York kept their still slim playoff hopes alive.
