Upset Alert Recap From The NFL Weekend

Seahawks 150 points in 3 straight gamesSan Francisco was a one-point favorite on the road in Seattle, with the Seahawks pounding the favored 49ers 42-13. Rookie QB Russell Wilson passed for a career high four touchdowns, as Seattle roared out to a 28-6 halftime lead, before coasting to an easy win, in front of a frenetic home crowd.

Seattle has scored 150 points in three consecutive blowout victories, but were held to "only" 42 points by 10-4-1 San Francisco. Surging Seattle is now 10-5.

St. Louis was a 3.5-point underdog at Tampa Bay. The Rams burst out to a 28-6 lead, breezing to an easy 28-13 victory. Sam Bradford passed for two touchdowns, with the stout Ram defense posting four interceptions. St. Louis improved to 7-7-1 on the season, a big step up from 2-14 in 2011. Tampa Bay, now in complete disarray, fell to 6-9.

Cleveland was a 14-point underdog at Denver. The Broncos won handily 34-12, as the Browns put up only token resistance. Peyton Manning passed for 339 yards and three touchdowns, as Denver outgained Cleveland 457-233. The Broncos are now 12-3, with the Browns falling to 5-10.

We were 2-1 for the weekend, correctly forecasting the upset triumphs by Seattle and St. Louis.
