The Vikings Celebrate A Shocking Wild Card Win At New Orleans | Video
In what was easily the most unexpected outcome of Wild Card Weekend, the Minnesota Vikings shocked the New Orleans Saints, 26-20, in an overtime thriller at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in downtown New Orleans.
The games two signature storylines first involved the stellar performance of the often-maligned Kirk Cousins, who threw for 242 yards and 1 TD. The second big talking point centered around Cousins’ lone TD throw, when veteran TE Kyle Rudolph caught the overtime game-winner, on a play in which some observers believed the 6-6 pass receiver should have been called for offensive pass interference.
The Vikings will now head to Santa Clara, California, for a Saturday afternoon matchup with the top seeded 49ers.
Here is a look at Minnesota’s postgame locker-room celebration, which included animated speeches from head coach Mike Zimmer and the aforementioned Cousins. The clip concludes with Rudolph leading his teammates in a cheer.
