Your City Could Host A Future NFL Draft
In the early years of the NFL Draft (prior to 1965), the event’s location bounced around between New York City, Chicago, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, LA, Washington and Milwaukee.
From 1965 through 2014, the gathering was held exclusively in New York City.
After 2014, the NFL made the decision to rotate the draft away from NYC, with Chicago (twice), Philly and Dallas getting in on the fun.
Per commissioner Roger Goodell, a rotating draft location will continue to be the case, with as many as 20 cities vying for the opportunity to host the event.
Goodell spoke in further detail regarding the league’s plans, when he joined Rich Eisen on the NFL Network.
