Alexander Ovechkin McLean Virginia homeWashington Capitals left wing Alexander Ovechkin is the NHL’s most lethal goal scorer. Having already led the league in this category five times, the 30-year-old Russian once again has found the net more times than any fellow player this season, posting 41 goals (entering Wednesday’s game with the Kings).

In addition to his prolific goal scoring, Ovechkin’s résumé includes 2005-06 rookie of the year honors, along with three NHL MVP awards.

In recognition of the above accolades, Ovechkin is currently playing under a 13-year/$124 million contract from the Caps.  This immense level of wealth has afforded the Moscow native a spectacular Washington area home.

Here is a detailed pictorial of Ovechkin’s 11,000-square-foot estate located in the high end Northern Virginia city of McLean.

Situated 19 miles west of the Verizon Center (arena 9 blocks east of the White House) and 10 miles northwest of the Capitals’ Arlington, Virginia practice facility, the mansion comes equipped with 5 bedrooms, 7.5 bathrooms, a double island kitchen, spiral staircase, library, first floor balcony, large outdoor deck and patio, as well as an elevator.

The home was originally constructed in 2011, with the superstar purchasing the pad for $4.2 million in 2012.
