Up Close Look At Canucks Off Day Practice In LA (Videos)

Henrik Sedin and Canucks Off Day Practice in LA Coming off of last season's disappointing loss to the Boston Bruins in a hard fought seven-game Stanley Cup Finals series, the Vancouver Canucks did not miss a beat during this regular season, posting an NHL leading 118 points, while earning the top seed in the Western Conference playoffs.

On the other side of the spectrum, the eighth seeded Los Angeles Kings finished the regular season with 95 points on 40 victories, 11 less wins than the total compiled by the boys from British Columbia.

Unfortunately for Vancouver, regular season excellence has turned into postseason consternation, as the Canucks find themselves down 3-0, heading into what could be an elimination game Wednesday night at Staples Center.

In preparation for this must-win contest, the Canucks practiced Tuesday afternoon at the Toyota Sports Center in El Segundo (CA), the training facility shared by the Kings and the Los Angeles Lakers.

The most positive development for Vancouver involved the presence of injured star Daniel Sedin. Sedin has missed the last 12 games after suffering a concussion versus the Chicago Blackhawks.

In preparation for Wednesday's game, coach Alain Vigneault led Vancouver through a series of situational drills. Below are iFolloSports.com original videos of the team moving the puck out of the corner, followed by power play practice and defensive zone clearing efforts, centered around goalie Roberto Luongo's ability to control the puck.

The Canucks looked focused and relaxed going into what could be the final game of their season. The mood will be significantly more downtrodden if the Kings are able to send Vancouver home with a loss come Wednesday night in downtown LA.
