A Mike Modano autograph remains a big deal for Minnesota hockey fans. 

The now 45-year-old native of Livonia, Michigan played 21 NHL seasons, 20 of which with the Minnesota North Stars/Dallas Stars organization. Modano finished his career with his hometown Red Wings.

The 7-time All-Star, who was the first overall pick in the 1988 draft, posted 561 goals and 813 assists, ranking first all-time in points scored by an American born player.

Since retiring in 2011, Modano spends time working in both the Stars front office, while also overseeing the Mike Modano Foundation.  He resides in Dallas.
