Staples Center has grown into perhaps the best location for a large scale sporting event, due to the logistical setup of the arena, the adjacent LA LIVE entertainment complex and Chick Hearn Court, the portion of 11th Street that sits in between the two above venues. During high caliber events, Chick Hearn Court is closed to automobiles, allowing for an almost carnival like atmosphere for fans and media to take advantage of.
