Video Of 1984 World Series Champion Tigers

Earlier this summer, Michigan based iFolloSports.com contributor Lance Martinez attended the 1984 World Series champion Detroit Tigers 30th anniversary celebration. The '84 Tigers went 104-58, beating the San Diego Padres in five games, during the Fall Classic.

Above is original video of many of the players being introduced to the crowd, just prior to a Q&A session. Many key members of the team were present, including Alan Trammell, Darrell Evans and Lou Whitaker.

Unfortunately, several influential members of the club were unable to attend, as Jack Morris, Kirk Gibson, Lance Parrish, Willie Hernandez ('84 AL Cy Young/AL MVP winner) and the late Hall of Fame Manager Sparky Anderson were absent from the proceedings. The event was held at Comerica Park's Big Cat Court.
