Tyson Chandler Posing For Photos In LA (Video)

Coming off a previous offseason and regular season that involved the acquisitions of Amar'e Stoudemire and Carmelo Anthony, the New York Knicks big splash during the lockout shortened hot stove period involved the signing of former Dallas Mavericks big man Tyson Chandler. After serving as a key contributor to the Mavs first-ever NBA Championship, Chandler was sent to the Knicks as part of a three-team trade that also involved the Washington Wizards. Upon arriving in Gotham, Chandler signed a four-year/$56 million contract.

Chandler is best known for his defensive prowess and gritty play within the paint. The 7-1, 240 lbs. bruiser averaged 9.4 rebounds per game and 1.1 blocks per game last season. The Knicks hope Chandler's locker room leadership and championship pedigree will provide a big boost to their up and coming, but defensively challenged roster.

Thursday, as Chandler boarded the Knicks charter bus outside of the Montage Beverly Hills hotel, prior to New York's 99-82 loss to the Lakers, the on court tough guy stopped to pose for photos with a couple Los Angeles hoops fans, per this ifollosports.com original video.

The LA product appeared more than happy to acknowledge the requests of these obviously diehard NBA fans.
