Isiah Thomas Promoting His Latest Business Venture In Motown (Photo)

Lance Martinez sends along this original photo of he and Detroit Pistons legend Isiah Thomas.
The picture was taken at a recent event in which Thomas was promoting Cheurlin Champagne; a French brand now being imported into the United States by Thomas owned ISIAH Imports. The gala was held at Papa Joe’s Gourmet Market, located in the Detroit suburb of Rochester Hills, Michigan.
Papa Joe’s sits seven miles straight east of The Palace of Auburn Hills.
These days, the 55-year-old Chicago native serves as chairman and CEO of Isiah International, with ISIAH Imports existing as a subsidiary. Thomas also works as team president for the New York Liberty.
The first ballot hall of famer played 13 NBA seasons, winning two world championships (1989,1990), amid appearing in 12 All-Star Games.
Prior to arriving in Motown, Thomas led the Indiana Hoosiers to the 1981 national championship, where he was named the Final Four’s Most Outstanding Player.
Since retiring in 1994, the former number 11 has put together an up and down résumé. After mediocre runs as both Raptors GM and Pacers head coach, Thomas spent five very turbulent seasons first as Knicks GM, then as the team’s bench boss.
After an unsuccessful coaching run at Florida International, Thomas appears to have righted the ship, when considering his previously mentioned business and WNBA efforts, as well as his ongoing work as an NBATV broadcaster.
