Tim Tebow Autograph Photo Just Before Injury

Tim Tebow Signing Autographs With Binghamton Rumble PoniesLance Martinez of My Detroit Sports sent over this original photo of the very famous Tim Tebow signing autographs, as a member of the Binghamton Rumble Ponies, the Mets AA affiliate.

Tebow is of course far better known for being both a quarterback and devout Christian. In college, the Jacksonville product won two national championships and a Heisman Trophy at the University of Florida. The lefty QB also had a brief yet noteworthy NFL stint with the Broncos, which included a 2011 playoff run and a walk off postseason victory over the Steelers.

Amid his NFL career ending, Tebow served as college football analyst for ESPN.

In 2016, Tebow once again made headlines when after not playing organized baseball since 2005, he pursued his dream of playing professional baseball, eventually landing in the New York Mets system. After joining the Mets for their last two spring trainings, the now 30-year-old started at the franchise’s A affiliate, before getting promoted to the AA Rumble Ponies.

Tebow’s baseball efforts in 2018 featured a .273 BA, with 6 homeruns and 36 RBI. Unfortunately, Tebow's season just ended, as he broke the hamate bone in his right hand.
