Tuesday, reports began to surface regarding the gargantuan 12-year/$430 million contract extension that Angels superstar Mike Trout is on the verge of signing with the Orange County based franchise.  As part of the mega deal, LAA will rip up Trout’s current six-year/$144.5 million deal.

Widely considered to be the best player in baseball, the 27-year-old has posted a .307 BA, with 240 HR, 648 RBI, 189 SB and .989 OPS, during his seven full seasons in Southern California. 

In addition to being a generational baseball talent, the Millville, New Jersey product also happens to be one of the nicest people in all of sports.
