Australian Olympic Athletes Have Been Warned

Aussie National Olympic Committee gambling rulesThere are legalized betting shops all over England, but you probably will not see any athletes from Australia in them during this summer's London Olympic Games, particularly if John Coates has anything to say about it. Coates, the Aussie National Olympic Committee President, has warned that any betting or gambling activity by team members would not be tolerated and that any offending athletes would be "named and shamed" and then sent home immediately.  A revised Team Membership Agreement is being updated with clauses including the return of governmental training funds by offenders and that betting information collected by the AOC can be turned over to law enforcement agencies in Australia.
