Nevada Secretary Of State Wins MMA Bout

Nevada Secretary of State Ross Miller defeats Jamal Williams in MMA BoutRoss Miller, 36, is a married father of three, who also happens to be the Nevada Secretary of State. His father Bob Miller served as the 26th governor of Nevada from 1989-99.

Ross Miller is also a huge mixed martial arts fan.  

After training for years, Miller climbed into the octagon last weekend, for an amateur bout in the World Fighting Championships (WFC) at South Lake Tahoe, Nevada. The 6-4 Miller defeated Jamal Williams by TKO, in the second round of a light heavyweight bout.

Despite his triumph, Miller said he would retire from MMA competition with a 1-0 record, but will continue to train in Reno.  

He told the media after his win:  "I checked something off my bucket list and fortunately got him (Williams) with a lucky punch.”
