Observing Firsthand The Professional Passion Of Stuart Scott
Since news broke ofm the untiely passing of legendary ESPN anchor Stuart Scott, tributes have been pouring in from the worlds of sports, media and even the President of the United States. As someone who worked in studio production at ESPN, I too can offer perspective regarding the passion that Scott continually brought to his profession.
It was the opening Thursday of the NFL season. I was in the newsroom, at around 8 or 9 am, when Scott suddenly entered the room and began screaming to all present that football was back. He then proceeded to run around the room and high five everyone at their chairs. His celebration concluded with him falling to the floor and kicking his legs in the air.
Very few people loved what they did for a living more than Stuart Scott.
iFolloSports.com joins so many in mourning the loss of a true television pioneer.
