Reliving An Up Close Look At The Great Ronaldo In LA (Videos)
Thursday signified the end of soccer icon Cristiano Ronaldo's 2014 World Cup, as he and his Portuguese teammates were unable to advance out of group play, despite the nation's 2-1 victory over Ghana. Though Ronaldo's World Cup was brief, the 29-year-old most certainly left his mark, after beautifully assisting on the tying goal versus the US (in stoppage time on Sunday) and netting the go-ahead score against Ghana (80th minute on Thursday).
Ronaldo now returns to his day job with Real Madrid, as his La Liga club gets set to return to action in July. Ironically, Thursday is the 5-year anniversary of Ronaldo's arrival in Madrid, after spending the previous six seasons with Manchester United.
Three years ago, Ronaldo and his Real Madrid squad spent some time in Los Angeles, while preparing for a tour of the US. iFolloSports.com was on hand and captured this original video clip of the icon, as he made his way around the UCLA campus.
This additional clip provides fans with a further behind the scenes look at the logistics of Real Madrid's stop through Southern California.
