Here is an iFolloSports.com original photo of wrestling legend Jake “The Snake” Roberts signing autographs at a weekend appearance in the Minneapolis suburb of Golden Valley, Minnesota.
The now 62-year-old Roberts (real name Aurelian Smith Jr.) spent five decades in sports entertainment, with his heyday occurring during his run in the WWF from the mid 80’s through the early 90’s. The Texas native remains best known for his vaunted “DDT” finishing move, along with his python snake Damien, who would accompany Roberts to the ring.
In addition to his WWF/WWE efforts, Roberts took to the ring in a number of other circuits, including WCW, ECW and TNA.
In 2014, Roberts was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
